Fee Table
Billing Policy Update – Effective 17 March 2025
From 17 March 2025, our updated billing policy will be as follows:
- Weekdays (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM):
- * Non-Concession Cardholders: Out-of-pocket fee of $37.
- * Concession Cardholders & Children 15 & Under: Bulk billed.
- Weekends:
- * Saturday: Out-of-pocket fee of $40 for all patients.
- * Sunday: Out-of-pocket fee of $50 for all patients.
- No-Show Fee: $40 non-rebateable fee.
The full consultation fee (inclusive of the Medicare rebate) will be charged at the time of your appointment, with the Medicare rebate processed back to your account afterward.
Fees may vary if your consultation varies, however, the out-of-pocket fee remains same at $37 for valid Medicare card holders.
Medicare rebates and claiming
Out of pocket cost means the cost to you after the Medicare rebate has been applied. Each of the independent practitioners we support individually determine the consultation fees they charge their patients. Accordingly, the total cost that you pay upfront may vary, and will be impacted by the length of your consultation.
However, no matter what the total cost will be, your Medicare rebate will ordinarily make up the difference to make your out of pocket cost the same, as seen below.
Please note that Medicare rebate in most cases is processed on the spot with the funds being available to you immediately. In certain situations, and especially for procedures it may take 2 to 3 days for the funds to be cleared by Medicare into your account. If you do not hold a valid Medicare card, the full fee is payable.
Private health insurance
If you have private health insurance, you may need to check with your insurance regarding the rebate. In most cases, insurances reimburse the exact amount equal to the relevant Medicare item number. Some private insurance companies may also cover the out-of-pocket expense for skin cancer screening and photography in their extras packages. Your doctor cannot advise whether your insurance company will do so. Please let our receptionist know if your policy covers skin cancer screening to ensure you receive the necessary paperwork for your claim.
